History and Background

+Company Name Origin

Ikeriri Network Service takes its name from the handle “Ikeririsu” — a combination of “Ikebukuro” (the founding location in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward) and “Lilith,” the demoness of Old Testament legend. (Founded: December 1996)

+Brief History

1996 — During the fighting-game boom, the founder adopted the handle “Ikeririsu” as a Lilith player in Capcom’s arcade game “Vampire Savior.” Later participated in Virtua Fighter tournaments.
1996 — Launched personal website “Ikeriri no Socchi wa Dou Yo.”
1998 — Established “Junker Networks,” the predecessor of Ikeriri Network Service.
1999 — Started consulting services; long-standing client relationships began.
2000 — Education services expanded; began providing instructors and content for various training vendors.
2002 — Delivered a session at Borland Conference.
2002 — Joined Mr. Maejima’s project; relocated to Nagano. Established the foundation of the current Nagano development/education base.
2003 — Began magazine column writing, including C Magazine.
2004 — Exhibited a booth for the first time at Borland Conference, including an IEEE 802.1X authentication server demo.
2004 — Technical Engineer (Network) book sold out; total published books exceeded 5.
2004 — Opened Tokyo office (Kanda/Otemachi) and Nagano development/education base (Sakudaira).
